SIAE MICROELETTRONICA supplied the ALFOplus80HD through the partner Rotek.
Mobile TeleSystems OJSC (MTS), the leading mobile operator in Russia and CIS, selected SIAE MICROELETTRONICA as one of its wireless millimetre wave technology suppliers to cover several of its geographical regions of operation. The LTE backhaul network will provide high speed and quality services, reinforcing the MTS brand of “leadership and best quality operator in the region”.
Due to the favourable conditions and regulations of millimetre wave in Russia, MTS decided to use this technology in its network. As of today SIAE MICROELETTRONICA together with the system integrator Rotek has deployed several hundred ALFOplus80HD links capable of multi Gigabit transmission, with the forecast of a network extension project that will double the current coverage.
